The NOITU Insurance Trust Fund (the “Fund”) is a self-insured health and welfare plan designed to support its members, contributing employers and union officials in conducting the day-to-day administrations of the health benefits that it provides. For well over 50 years, the Fund has been able to provide one of the best health coverages that can be received through union membership. Despite the Fund’s success in providing health benefits to its members, the Fund is faced with numerous challenges in the coming years as new laws are established and medical costs continue to rise. As it has always done, the Fund will continue to reinvent itself as necessary to meet these challenges so that it can continue to provide health benefits for its members for the next 50 years and beyond. As Administrator of the Fund, I look forward to the challenges that await and will do my best to continue providing the best possible health coverage to the members that we serve.
As stated above, the main reason the Fund was established was to provide health benefits and serve its membership. As such, making sure that you, your family, and your providers are well-informed on how your health coverage works is of the utmost importance to the Fund. As such, if you or your provider have any questions regarding your health coverage through the Fund, please use the information on this website or call the Member Services Department at (718) 291-3434 option 3, where there are numerous staff members available to answer your questions or provide you with further information.
Finally, in closing, please continue to monitor updates to this website for important information, required notices, and certain forms that the Fund needs regarding your health coverage. The goal of this website is to provide you with as much information as possible in an effort to better assist you in making informed decisions concerning your health coverage and ensuring that those healthcare decisions that you make are properly processed by the Fund.
